The majority of test equipment devices these days are lightweight and reasonably portable. To make it easier for engineers to keep their equipment safe and handy as they move from job to job, there are a number of options available to protect test equipment in carrying cases & holsters. Additionally, some devices, despite being small, are quite fragile and valuable so it makes a lot of sense to keep them in a protective case or holder when not in use.
