UV Photodiodes

Photodiodes are responsible for the conversion of light into electrical energy. This allows the exact measurement of the intensity of light to be measured, which is used in both science and home technology. This technology is the basis for solar panels, and has applications within the medical field and in fire and smoke detection, among other uses. Used in consumer electronics to alter screen brightness to meet the environment the device is performing in; these sensors truly have a multitude of uses.
