Terminal strips are the blocks that tidy up a maze of wire connections, usually in a strip form that can be snapped off to suit the number of wires that need terminating, but they can also be in block form. There are a few types of terminal strips with slightly different characteristics. Barrier strips are probably the most common type, these have screw terminals on either side to hold the connected wires in place. Another common type of terminal strip uses spring clips to hold the wires in place for ease of use. Finally, there are power distribution blocks commonly found in electrical panels, they allow multiple wires to be connected to a single output.
